A Dictionary For The People.

It was 2020, the height of Covid lockdowns.
Stuck inside an endless vortex of Zoom meetings with people spread across the country, I was inspired to start collating all of my favourite pieces of Aussie slang and phrase.


One word became ten, which quickly grew to 100, and before you could say ”I’m Not Here To F*ck Spiders”, the page known as The Deni Dictionary was born.

It’s like Urban Dictionary after a gap year down under.

What started as a meme quickly got out of hand
and so the folklore of the dictionary grew.

A succulent Chinese meal?

What is Australia’s favourite Chinese order? That was the question put to the people.

After much debate, and an intense election, the Deni Dictionary launched “The People’s Banquet”, a living, breathing and sizzling menu item in collaboration with Lucky Prawn Chinese, Sydney.

In 2023, I partnered with the swimwear brand Budgy Smuggler to create the limited edition ‘Deni Dickstickers’.
